For the women who stick close no matter what, the companions who never leave us hanging, for the real ones who speak from the heart and tell us what we need to hear even when we aren't being receptive, and for the confidants who have taken the honorary title of “best friend” to another level, African American Expressions presents this year's 2023 Sister Friends calendar.

This installment is a celebration of the women who make our days a little brighter and laughs a little louder, a celebration of the precious Sister Friend bond which is not always easy to come by but proves even harder to break. Each month Nicholle Kobi endeavors to capture and highlight the lovely diversities of black women of various shapes, sizes, and hues, showcasing these lively sister friends in fashionable dress.
